If we were having coffee I’d offer to make you a latte using the awesome Christmas present I got last year, and serve it to you in one of the cool mugs I got this year. One has an “A” on it (so I’d probably use that one), but I’ve also got one that’s got a typewriter on it! I got a lot of great presents this year, plants, cool socks, mugs, a bathrobe, makeup, yarn, and shoes. Even better than all the present was getting to spend a fun day with family and friends. The brunch and dinner were delicious, and there was plenty of laughter and merriment.
Today’s post is a part of the Weekend Coffee Share, graciously hosted by Part Time Monster every weekend. A time for us to come together, share a cup of coffee (or our beverage of choice) to share some of what is going on in our lives. It’s a lovely check-in!
I am finding my way on the meandering, twisting path of life, constantly surprised by what’s around the next bend. Working to embrace and face the challenges inherent with following your dreams, and writing the journey. A writer and dreamer, historian and theologian, academic and fantasy-world-creator, genealogist and gluten-free baker, crafter and reader, poet and life-long learner, MLIS student constantly questioning and occasionally irreverent.
Eclectic Alli is my personal blog, with reflections on writing, life, theology, history, or whatever may catch my thoughts.
Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram round out my online presence, and I try to do little bits different with each of them.

I love your tree and the dogs. Yay for cool presents! I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a joyous Holiday Season! 🙂
I know, the four trees seems pretty extravagant! We have four front windows, and some of them are on the smaller end with pretty much just lights up but it looks REALLY cool coming up the street to see a tree in every window!
Oh, those pups look so sweet! And awesome socks, too. I bought Sam a pair with mustaches and barber poles and derby hats on them. We like funny socks around here.
Socks are a cool gift. I received three or four pair and I can’t wait to wear them all!! My feet are so happy! Can I just say how much I love the elephant in the Santa hat on top of your bookshelf! Your tree is lovely too but that elephant made me smile.😊
I love my new socks!!
The elephants all came when my Grandma moved in with us last fall, and many of them have hung around – so of course we had to add some festive cheer to them! 🙂
What a beautiful tree that is! And the way you put the sleeping pups right after the pic, it looks like they’re sleeping under the tree! This is so fun to visit and enjoy other people’s Christmases on the WeekendCoffeeShare! Yours looks like it was really nice!
