Today is Celebrate the Small Things Friday. Hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner of Writing Off the Edge, and Tonja Drecker of Kidbits, Celebrate the Small Things is a time when we all take a moment to celebrate something good from our week. It can be small, it can be big, just something to look back on the week and celebrate!
Today I celebrate VACATION! I took a few days off of work (3.5, to be exact) in order to spend them with a friend who is in from out of town. She got in yesterday morning and we just kind of hung out for the day (though I took her to her first conveyor-belt sushi experience for lunch… one of those things I missed when I lived on the east coast). Tomorrow we try to avoid at least some of this ridiculous heat-wave (seriously, it hit 102 here… record breaking and so not okay) by heading to the coast! Pictures and more to come with my Coffee post this weekend!
What are you celebrating today?
Have a fabulous time with your friend 🙂

I remember when my son lived in the Bay area — going to conveyor belt “Godzilla Sushi”.

Yay for vacation time! Although I’m not fond of sushi and think “conveyor belt sushi” sounds quite scary (and this coming from a horror author), I think a fabulous way to beat the heatwave is hanging at the beach! Have a wonderful time! 🙂
