Hello all. This weekend I’m going to take some time to relax, with a little bit of a lighter homework load I’m going to take some time out in order to do something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

A while ago I got a pasta maker extension for our stand mixer, and this weekend I’m finally going to get to use it! I have a Gluten-Free stuffed pasta recipe that I used ages ago, so I’m going to start with that. But this time instead of having to do all the time consuming rolling to get it thin enough I’ll get to use the pasta maker!! I am unreasonably excited about this, so I plan to start my day tomorrow with making some pasta before launching into the homework.

That’s pretty much all I have this weekend, some pasta making followed by more homework. Not a whole lot exciting going on around here at this point, but I’m okay with that.

How are you doing this weekend?

  2. NEVER be unreasonably excited about pasta! You are going to love the fresh taste, which pops in a way that dry pasta doesn’t! I am goin got make Nigella Lawson’s “Banana Skin Curry” recipe – which is real! Have a delicious weekend!

    1. Ooh, Banana Skin Curry sounds super interesting! I’m going to have most of December off from school, so will have a little more free time around work and am hoping to do more baking and cooking. I haven’t really done much since I moved back home 7 years ago and now share the kitchen (with my Mom, so it will ways feel like my Mom’s kitchen).

      1. I figure that if I don’t like it, I just wasted my own time because the peels normally just go into the garbage so there’s nothing to lose! Thanks for commenting, hope you enjoy your free time!

  3. We have a pasta maker and love the taste of homemade as well as the knowledge of exactly what is in our pasta, but we rarely use it any more because life and work and family pretty much fill our days and we’re old now and really value our time to curl up with a book to relax. Sad perhaps, but true. I think you’re going to love yours.

  4. Fresh pasta is the one thing I can get my son to help with, It’s a hand roller, but for some reason he’s drawn to the machinery….and can’t help himself help 🙂 Would love to try the kitchen aid attachment one day

  5. Now, that’s a plan! 🙂 ❤ You can never go wrong with pasta! If I weren't using my table for cutting patterns at the moment, I'd be tempted to make up some fresh noodles for some hearty chicken soup.
