Welcome to the weekend.

I started my new job this week, and Friday will be my first day for the library internship. Classes have been rolling along, and things are certainly busy! The job is going well, still very much in the training stage, getting my bearings “in” the office (because all of my work is remote at the moment), meeting the team, and learning a lot of new information. It’s been a lot of reading, a lot of zoom meetings, and a lot of listening and observing. I think the work is going to be good though, and I really enjoy the team, so I’m looking forward to getting into the job more as time goes on.

I really don’t have a whole lot more to say at the moment. Still keeping myself afloat, looking forward to a day off around the 4th of July (and I’m going to really give myself it as a day off too, since it’ll be the first one I have! With everything that’s going on I have either work or internship commitments every day of the week!)

How has your week been?

  1. We canceled everything but a trip to the bank and my husband’s dental appointment, this week. Concentrating on relaxing, minimizing stress. Best wishes for you in your new job. The library internship sounds lovely to me. Hope you have a lovely week!

  2. Congratulations on the new job, Ali and for starting something new amidst all the chaos at the moment. After being in lock down for 3.5 months I’ve been finding it quite hard to get going again and I’m still largely in isolation and practising social distancing. I’m really not sure whether it’s still required here but I still need to get out to get my flu shot and so it’s good for me to keep a bit of distance between me and the usual suspects as well. Hope you have a great week ahead.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena
