Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

Hi everyone! It’s nice to be having coffee with you again – the little holiday-hiatus I took was lovely, and much needed. I did a lot of crafting, social-stuff, and (of course) work. But I got some nice relaxation in there, though not as much reflection time as I would have liked. That will come though, I have been working to make space for it, so I know I’ll get there.
Christmas and New Years were both very low key for me, which was perfect. Two of my brothers (and my sister-in-law) came over for a Christmas meal and we played a few rounds of a fun game (the name of which I am completely blanking on at this point). Mom and I exchanged some presents, she gave me some new supplies for my weaving, and I gave her the shawl I’d been working on!

New Years Eve I was asleep by 6. I was just WORN OUT, my body is fighting a cold and I had some oral surgery earlier in the day so needed some healing-rest. It was also the 4 year anniversary of adopting Midnight Monster, and he seemed to enjoy celebrating the day by cuddling and sleeping.

Now it’s time to jump back into work-life, trying to get some projects done in what time I have that isn’t at work. There is new weaving to do, some sewing projects, and I do want to get back to revising the novel that I abandoned a few years back. But, overriding ALL of that is the start of school – my first class will open on the 6th, and then the rest of them start up later this month. Time to get back into the schedule of studying and doing homework!
How was your weekend? What have you been up to the past month? Did you do anything exciting for New Years?
Welcome back. Glad your blogging break went well, though oral surgery doesn’t sound fun. Midnight Monster seems content in his home of 4 years 🙂 Have a great weekend.
