Welcome to Banned Books Week, 2019. I’ve made it something of a tradition to participate, and this year is no different! I invite you to join me this year, share your blog posts and check out what others have to say. The link will be open the entire week!
Take some time to reach out to the authors of your favorite banned and challenged books! Tell them what you like about what they’ve written, has their book impacted you? Or maybe you just want to say Thanks! The American Library Association is inviting all to participate in Dear Banned Authors again this year.
Send a postcard, a letter or a tweet! There is a list of contact information for authors to draw from, and even some printable postcards and letterhead!
Not only can you send some love to these authors, you can also enter a contest! More information and the official rules can be found on the ALA website.
