Welcome again. How are you doing this week? What are your weekend plans?
Next weekend I’m going to a “Midsummer Nights Dream” themed house party, which should be a lot of fun. It’s at the same house that hosted the 80’s-Prom themed Murder Mystery party I attended in the fall, and there will be some people I know, and a lot of people I don’t. I’m an introvert, so this will certainly push my comfort zones a bit, but I’m looking forward to it.
Recently I volunteered to bring some “edible art” to the event (in exchange for a custom-made floral crown!!) So, this weekend will be spent in preparing for that. I’m going to dust off my treat-creating skills and try making some candies and chocolates. My vision is little multi-colored chocolate cups, filled with some sort of berry compote, edible “jewels,” and chocolate and caramel “wings.” So, this weekend I experiment with making it happen…. wish me luck!

I hope so! My weekend plans got disrupted by an ant infestation (more on that later this week, I’m sure) but I’m still trying to get these goodies done before next weekend so pictures will come!
