I can’t say what we’re doing, because it’s all a surprise for her – but I’ll try to post updates on my Instagram (and will certainly tell you all about it next weekend!

Last weekend one of my friends got married, it was a small ceremony and reception, which was lovely. I had a lot of fun visiting with friends and participating in my friends day of celebration! I also got to attend her Bachelorette Party last Friday, which included a nice dinner at Mother’s Bistro followed by a show at Darcelles XV. We had a great time!

I have to say, though, I’m looking forward to getting some time to relax. Not entirely sure WHEN I’ll get that time, my schedule doesn’t really clear up until Memorial Day weekend, and I’m looking forward to taking some time that weekend to just relax. Sleep, rest, household chores… every time the thought of something else comes up I think about how very much I need a full weekend of doing nothing. In the meantime, it’s all good and fun things, so while it’s a busy time at least it’s an enjoyable one.

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. That is so sweet that you’re doing something for your mom. Mother’s Day is always bittersweet for me. I lost my mom when I was 12. I usually go somewhere with my daughter that weekend, both to be grateful for my own experience of motherhood, and to not get depressed. I was planning on going to Arizona this weekend, but due to heavy rains the plans changed. I’m going to write a post about where we go when I get back Sunday afternoon. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. This weekend we worked on wedding things mostly and for mother’s day, we’re just seeing my fiance’s mom since mine is busy. I’ll catch up with her later in the week. I hope you get the rest you need soon. Thanks for the coffee!
