Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!
Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about? All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday March 29th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday April 1st at 7pm (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!
Last week’s painting turned out pretty well, I think. We used a technique of laying contact paper on the canvas and painting over it, to create a nice circular frame. It was fun to peel that contact paper off!
This week has just been another week, though I’m excited about a new writing project I’m starting to explore. It’s non-fiction, so I’ve been exploring some different possible resources and doing some brainstorming to help focus my idea a bit. I don’t want to go too much into what I’ll be writing just yet, it’s still in too early a stage, but I’m super-excited and find my one idea leading to more ideas, which is always a good sign!
This week I also became on Aunt (again!) when my sister gave birth to another little one. The little family seems very happy and I’m excited to hear how big sister (not quite 2 years old yet) does with her new little sister.
This weekend I am going to a bridal shower for a friend of mine who is getting married in a few months – it’s going to be a tea-party at one of the McMennamin sites, and I’m looking forward to it! It’s a good crew of people going, and it’ll be fun to have another excuse to wear the fascinator I bought for a Fancy Tea Party a few years ago.
Sunday, as usual, is reserved for sleeping. Work is keeping pretty busy with some contract testing we do, so I’ve got to make sure to recharge a bit so I can make it through a busy-busy week!
What are you up to this weekend?
