So, what’s happening for you this weekend?
I have a couple of errands to run, but then plan to relax for most of the weekend. There really isn’t much going on! At least, it doesn’t seem like there is….
One of the things that’s probably going to happen this weekend is that I’ll finish my first listen-through of the Harry Potter series. I read them all ages ago (the last few in the years that they came out), but hadn’t revisited the series. A co-worker of mine suggested I listen to the audio-book, and so I decided to give it a go, and have been quite enjoying it! There are things I had forgotten about, and details that stand out a bit differently to me now. And, of course, hearing them one after another is quite a different experience than waiting a year between books!
Aside from that, there are Cards to complete and get out. I have found that I don’t like writing a holiday letter – most of the people I’m sending cards to are people I’m actually in touch with during the year, so they already know what’s going on in my life. I also don’t like just sending a card with my signature and little else – there seems little point in that. This year I am allowing myself to just write small notes – a few lines – to everyone, but it means that getting cards together to send can take a bit longer than it might otherwise. I’m hoping to finish with those this weekend though. And there is a present or two I need to finish making as well.
The other thing I really need to take some time for is reflecting and thinking a bit on the tarot reading I had done. I’d never really had one done before, so when one of my friends put out an offer to do one I thought it would be an interesting thing to try. Now I want to look through what she wrote me about it and see what resonates, and think about what my next steps are. (She’s offering a deal right now, if anyone is interested!)
What are you up to this weekend?
I really like the audiobooks, especially when driving. A tarot reading sounds intriguing.

That sounds like a nice weekend, sort of like “the calm before the storm (Christmas.)” I’m going to enjoy a similar weekend, at least I think so 🙂
