This is a series originally started by Nerd In the Brain — this year we’re going to collaborate on it! We even have a nifty new badge for this new year! Feel free to add this to any posts you do for the Go Play, Go Learn challenges!)
How this works!
- The fourth Wednesday of every month, (yes, this is a change!! We’re moving to a once-a-month with Go Play Go Learn, to give you all a bit more time to explore the themes!! These will alternate monthly) we’ll give you a fun challenge. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate… grown ups, families, kids… everyone. If you complete the challenge let me (or Nerd in the Brain) know by email, or by using the contact form, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram or by linking from a post you write to this post. (Lots of choices!!) (Using the tag #goplaygolearn helps a lot!)
- Each month, we’ll choose someone who participated to be the Nerd of the Month. What does being Nerd of the Month get you? Well, fame and glory, of course!! The Nerd of the Month will get a very special spot on the sidebar with a badge and a link to your blog. And, of course, that rather swanky badge will be available for the Nerd of the Month to proudly display on your own blog!
- That’s all there is to it. Fame and glory in exchange for playing and learning.
Also, there’s a nifty Linky-link you can connect your post to in order to help us keep up on all the wonderful Go Play, Go Learn posts!
Now for the challenge!
Earlier this month Nerd in the Brain talked about attraction. For the next month I encourage you to keep exploring the topic but also to add another dimension to the theme. I challenge you to explore the opposite of attraction – Repulsion!! You could go scientific with this, or you could veer more to the arts. There’s so much that can be done and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! This time around I’m not going to give suggestions, rather I’m going to trust you can come up with your own challenges. And there will be a few repulsion activities through the month that might help to get you inspired!
So, what do you think? What kind of repulsion activities will you get up to for the next few weeks? Do you have suggestions for future Go Play, Go Learn challenges? Let me know in the comments!
