If We Were Having Coffee – Games!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you about the Interactive Museum of Gaming and Puzzlery! It was such a cool place to visit, and I had a fun time playing a few different games with friends. So many great games – I look forward to many more visits.

A shot of just a few of the (literally) THOUSANDS of games they have.
We played ’90’s Trivial Pursuit, and then Guillotine. Really enjoyed Guillotine!
The front of the museum!

Earlier in the day we’d had a bit of excitement. The dogs started going crazy out back and we discovered that they’d tree’d a raccoon!  A rather large raccoon… I managed to get some good pictures of him WAY up there.

Here he is in the tree
He’s in the tree in this picture too (and this picture doesn’t even capture the entire tree!) Can you spot him?

Today I’m off to lunch with a friend, and hope to get some more writing done.. so much that I need to do!

There really isn’t a whole lot else going on to talk about, so I’d sit back and let you talk for a bit — what has your weekend been like?

Today’s post is a part of the Weekend Coffee Share, graciously hosted by Part Time Monster every weekend. A time for us to come together, share a cup of coffee (or our beverage of choice) to share some of what is going on in our lives.  It’s a lovely check-in!

  1. When we went to Omaha, I found a neat place to go hang out…they had two rooms full of games…all sorts of games from simple cards to role playing games. We went late one night. They serve beer and wine and small finger foods. You pay to play the games. Flat rate and you can stay as long as you like and play as many games as you like. They have staff to help suggest games and they’ll even come help you get started playing a game if you ask them to. It was a lot of fun and had we had more time, we would have gone more than once.

  2. That museum sounds really cool. My family and most of my friends love playing games. I have almost an entire wall filled with various card, dice, puzzle, board games. There are so many cool new games out there, Dominion seems to be high on our list. Machi Koro is a favourite of mine as well.
