If we were having coffee I’d tell you that this week has been pretty stressful. Things should lighten up pretty quickly now that the crazy-week at work is done (at least until March when we get to do it again), but for now I plan to just rest and relax for the weekend. There are things that need to be done, of course, but I want to try relaxing too.
I’m working on a couple of Christmas presents, and getting my holiday cards together to send out. I also need to put some real time into my writing projects – focus is required!
The weather out here has been pretty crazy – lots of rain and wind. There’s been flooding and landslides – though thankfully none of them have impacted me (aside from a few soaking-wet commutes). I’m hoping that things ease up soon, I’ve been lucky to not really be impacted, but there has been a lot of damage from this weather.
This is what the wetlands I pass on my commute normally looks like, and what it looked like earlier this week with all the flooding….
I should get moving on all the writing projects (and crafting projects…). DeDoWriMo is up and running, and I’ve got a contest going this week too that everyone is welcome to participate in! So, off to work I go… hopefully with some napping included today!
Today’s post is a part of the Weekend Coffee Share, graciously hosted by Part Time Monster every weekend. A time for us to come together, share a cup of coffee (or our beverage of choice) to share some of what is going on in our lives. It’s a lovely check-in!
Yes, lots of rain. I was gone for a lot off it but hinge since Tuesday night so I didn’t miss it all.

Glad the floods are missing you. Those storms hit us last week but the snow in the mountains should be no water shortages next summer.

Glad the rain hasn’t impacted on you. Not pleasant weather for so near Christmas. Hope you enjoy your down time til March. Good luck with your rewrite.

Goodness, this weather! We’re supposed to get some rough weather this evening as a cold front pushes through, but even though is only supposed to put our weather in the 60s or so. It’s still really warm here..
Good luck with the projects, and try to stay dry!

Glad to hear the stressful part of work is over for you for a while so you can direct your extra energy to your writing, holiday stuff, and other creative projects! I haven’t tried to change my blog theme colors yet but I will play with it maybe this week, and I thank you for your help!
