Every week The Broke and the Bookish hosts the “Top Ten Tuesdays” a great blog-hop for readers to reflect on their “Top Ten”
This weeks topic is a Freebie, so I’m going to admit to how much I fell apart on my reading this summer. Here are ten of the books I had planned to read that I just didn’t yet… I’ve started most of them at least.
- A Long Fatal Love Chase, by Louisa May Alcott
- Aunt Jo’s Scrap-Bag IV, by Louisa May Alcott
- Monkey Bridge, by Lan Cao
- Sweetgrass, by Jan Hudson
- Go Set a Watchman, by Harper Lee
- Shades of Milk and Honey, by Mary Robinette Kowal
- Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.
- The Shadow Cabinet, by Maureen Johnson
- Shooting Kabul, N.H. Senzai
- The Palace of Stone and The Forgotten Sisters, by Shannon Hale

I am finding my way on the meandering, twisting path of life, constantly surprised by what’s around the next bend. Working to embrace and face the challenges inherent with following your dreams, and writing the journey. A writer and dreamer, historian and theologian, academic and fantasy-world-creator, genealogist and gluten-free baker, crafter and reader, poet and life-long learner, MLIS student constantly questioning and occasionally irreverent.
Eclectic Alli is my personal blog, with reflections on writing, life, theology, history, or whatever may catch my thoughts.
Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram round out my online presence, and I try to do little bits different with each of them.

I’m really terrible at sticking to TBRs/books I tell myself that I have to read. I always end up reading something else. I’ve read The Shadow Cabinet and Go Set a Watchman—both of which I loved.

It’s so hard to get them all read!! I loved the other books that came before The Shadow Cabinet, so need to just READ it… and started Go Set a Watchman, but then lost steam after the first part… also just need to READ it… sigh.

I’ve had going back into the Shades of London series by Maureen Johnson on my TBR list forever! I will get to it someday. Glad to see you’re enjoying it.
