The party continues, it’s not too late to join us!
Taliana watched as the Author vanished into the crowd, her friends seeming to be adjusting slowly to the crowd. She made note of their threads, those would be ones to follow.
Further into the crows she heard a familiar voice, Havrik had gathered a small crowd, including a lovely young woman with what appeared to be some sort of birds wings tucked to her side. She was laughing at something Havrik had said and as Taliana approached the crowd they opened the circle to make room for her. From the ways the threads around them interacted Taliana assumed these were other Wish Bringers that had joined Havrik for the party this year. “Sometimes you have to guide the wishes though,” the woman was saying, “people know what they want, but they don’t necessarily know how to really get at what they really want.”
“Isn’t that unethical?” A young man curly red hair asked, “I mean, we’re supposed to grant their wish, not guide their wishes.”
Taliana listened quietly, catching Havriks eye at this point. He smiled, but said nothing — through the years he had often helped to guide her wishes, in his own quiet way. And she was always grateful for it.
“My mother recently told me a story about a wish she granted, where I think the guidance was important.” The winged woman argued, “You see, there was this one girl, her name was Robin….”
